Betty Helsley

HELSLEY, Betty Jean, 81, of Richmond, died October 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Helsley II. Survivors include three children, Rob Helsley and his wife, Stephanie, Grover C. Helsley III and his wife, Missy, and Suzanne DelPozzo and her husband, Tom; five siblings, Bob Midkiff, Pat Smith, Doug Midkiff, Bill Midkiff and Margaret Stickley; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. Betty enjoyed taking care of others and was very involved with her church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (today). Graveside services will be held in Strasburg, Va., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smile Train, 41 Madison Avenue, 28th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10010.
