Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we have made a small donation to Snowball Express to honor and remember Brandon T. Islip US Army Sergeant. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

George and Allison, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. I just found out about Brandon from a friend of ours from long ago. Valerie Newton used to babysit Brandon and my two sons John and Frank Shelton ( both also red heads) When I looked at his picture I can see all three of the playing at Valerie's I know you were very proud of him and all that he has done, again my prayers are with you. Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord
May God be with you and your family.

My heart goes out to friends and family of Brandon. My daughter was a friend of Ben's and I've been keeping watch to see if they had found Brandon. I'm glad he was found but sad about the outcome. My prayers are with you.

You have a whole nation who is thankful for your keeping us safe. You are a hero, no doubt; diving into the water to save your friend. Brandon, I am so proud that you pursued what you truly wanted to do. And I believe that you helped get Lucy out of the fire....she is so proud, too. Much love.

What a true American hero. May the family find peace in what an incredible son, brother and husband that Brandon was to you.
