Caroline Green RANEY

RANEY, Caroline Green, age 85, of Freeman, Va., passed away November 2, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Alexander Raney and two sisters, Colette Rosier and Betty Ritch. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne R. Vaughan and husband, Peanut, of Colonial Heights; her son, E.A. "Lex" Raney Jr. of Freeman; three grandchildren, Hilton Alexander Vaughan and wife, Allison, Nelson Augustus Graves Raney, and Marcus Clinton Vaughan and wife, Gina; and a sister, Anice "Pee Wee" Dittmar. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Smokey Ordinary. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville. Memorial contributions may be made to Brunswick Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
