As a "come-here" working as a newspaper reporter in Gloucester several decades ago, I found Mr. and Mrs. Jones to be graciously welcoming and helpful. Many a time one or the other, or both, would answer or steer me to the right source when some question about Gloucester history would arise.
It wasn't long before I felt as comfortable talking with Catesby and Spotswood as I would with dear friends. I miss them both.

Dear Catsby and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family. Your father was such a welcome sight around the court house for so many years. I always enjoyed seeing and speaking with him.
God bless,

Dear Catsby and family, Last time I saw you and your dad was at the Rebublican event where you all gave my son a wonderful thank you for his duty in the war and being wounded and a purple heart recipent. I just wanted to thank you once again for that and tell you how impressed I was how you took care of your dad. He was very blessed to have you all. Your all in my prayers and thoughts. May God bless you all with comfort and peace. Ruth Napier Reid (RuLu)
