I was blessed to be a neighbor of Mr. and Mrs. Ryland for more than 30 years. My family and I could not have asked for more kind and considerate neighbors and friends. I know the family and the town of Warsaw will feel a void without Charlie Ryland!
My sympathy goes out to his family.

I visited Mr. Ryland at his Warsaw office in 2005 to talk with him about his upcoming part in a panel at UR on the history of UR. I will always remember his kindness to take time to meet with me and to help with the program, and for his and Mrs. Ryland's gracious hospitality to include me in a scrumptious lunch and tour of his wonderful book collection at their home. Thanks to Mr. Ryland, our history program was a huge success and we have a tape of his presentation which we will always treasure.

I have very fond memories of Mr. Ryland. At one time Mr. Marston Smith sent me to his office to go over an estate account. I was scared to death!! He made me feel at ease and from then on I only had respect for Mr. Ryland and not fear. Kirby and I express our regrets at his passing. He lived a long full life and will long be remembered.
Our sympathy, Kirby & Faye Rock

I offer my condolence to the family of Mr. Ryland. A true gentleman and friend. Although very busy, he always had time to listen and offer advice.
