Charlotte HORTON Obituary

HORTON, Charlotte June, born October 12, 1944, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred E. and Emma E. Rose; and a brother, Fred R. Rose. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Elmer "Sonny" Horton; one son, Chris Horton and his wife, Teresa; a daughter, Diane Horton Hoffman and her husband, Andrew; three grandchildren, Kelsey and Jacob Hoffman, and Nick Horton. The family would like to thank Charlotte's devoted friends for their love and support, and would also like to thank the caring staff of Riverside Convalescent Center in Saluda and Riverside Hospice. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Hollywood Cemetery.

Dear Sonny and,Family,

I will always love June,she has always been their for me and my family,now is the time for me to be their for her family, Sonny I will never forget the last time I saw June, and the laughter she had when I told her I was going to sit by you and give you a kiss, and the way she just thought that was very funny, that was a joke between June and you and me.
