To Al and all of Danette's beloved family,
I was deeply saddened to hear from my VA friends about Danette's passing on to her heavenly home. My prayers and thoughts are with you, as I know all of you were the center of her universe. Danette and I worked on countless projects together at the VA and I always looked forward to meeting with her on our work because the meetings always started with talk of family, both hers and mine, what new education or job opportunity she was working toward, and other interesting pop culture stuff going on. We always eventually got around to the work, but doing it with her made it seem more like fun than work!
Danette was a dedicated, passionate, tenacious woman who was a role model and an inspiration to many, many people. I am humbled and honored to have known her and I pray that she is dancing, laughing and smiling down on all of us who knew her.

Mr. Holloway and Family,
I was overwhelmed when I was informed of Danette's passing. "DeDe" was a wonderfully lively, bold, and courageous person. Working with her was a joy. Every issue that we worked on together was an opportunity to one that made you dig deep for all of the facts. Our conversations were serious one, but always ended with humorous exchanges and lots of laughter. She will be truly missed. May she rest in peace.
My sincere prayers are with you during this time. May God bless and comfort each of you.
January 17, 2010
Words can not express what you and your family are feeling now, but my heart is heavy and goes out to you.
Asia was first my friend and just like one of my sisters growing up with my family. Although we had lost contact over the years,I never stopped thinking of her. How our daughters were growing into young ladies and how our friendship was growing stronger through the years. Many knew and loved Asia,so know that she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. God has a plan for her and she is now in his care so be assured that God will give you the comfort and peace you need in this difficult time.
If there is ever a time that you need to talk, please feel free to call me. My prayers goes out to you and the family.

To the Holloway Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Asia's passing and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our family met Asia through her friendship with my daughter Laverne (classmates at Maggie Walker High School).
Be encouraged with the words of God which states, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. For weeping may endure for a night but your joy shall come in the morning".
Keep your eyes on God’s promises and not on the situation and know that God’s grace and peace will be with you during your hours of grief.

Al and family,
I know you and your family will miss Danette immensely, but God let us know her for a while and she was a very special person in many ways that we won't recognize until we miss the parts that mean so much to us. She was a great manager and a hard-working professional. I enjoyed working with her and the challenges she gave me. I will miss her smiling face and great stories about family, friends, and her work that was her passion.

I want to convey my most sincere condolences to Danette's family and friends. I work for the VA Medical Center in Salem, VA and was one of her co-workers. She was one of the most caring, sincere, energetic, and dedicated VA staff that I have ever met or worked with.
