David Webb Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch from Sep. 20 to Sep. 21, 2008.
WEBB, David Stewart, 48, of Aylett, Virginia, died unexpectedly on August 14, 2008, as a result of a work accident. He was preceded in death by his parents, Voil Richard and Theresa Lusby; and a brother, Robin. Survivors include his two young children, Rachel and Zachary of Stafford. Also survived by his sister, Ramona Aversa of Fredericksburg; and three brothers, Richard Webb of Hamilton, Stephen Webb of Beaverdam and Paris Webb of Doswell. A native of Arlington who later moved to Stafford, David used to own Webb Ambulance Service with offices in Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg and Charlottesville. David sold the business, which is now known as Life Care, and traveled for about a year. After returning back to Virginia, David held various jobs, from selling commercial trucks, auto mechanic, taxi driver for Prince William Yellow Cab, to commercial truck driver. Active in horseback riding and scuba diving, David was a certified F.A.A. pilot and loved flying. Per David's wishes, he was cremated and a private ash-spreading service will be held with his children. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of David can be sent payable to either Rachel or Zachary Webb, c/o Navy Federal Credit Union, 308 Worth Avenue, Suite 105, Stafford, Va. 22556.

When ever I hear or see a small plane flying over from Hanover Airport I think of him and a life cut too short. And that's pretty often since I only live about 4 miles away..

Even though we had only worked with David for just a few months, he was part of our family. David was a kind, helpful, fun-loving guy that loved life. We are so saddened by his loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Dave will be missed by many…... I know I lost my best friend with his passing. I’ve talked with his brothers and they're hoping to have a Celebration of his life sometime close to his birthday in November. In the meantime please raise a toast in his honor and think about the good times we had with him; that’s what he would have wanted.
