Mary Helen Webb, 96, of Hutchinson, died December 16, 2025, at Reflection Living in Hutchinson. She was born December 12, 1929, in Hutchinson, 1 of 14 children born to Anthony and Viva (Howard) Urban.

Mary graduated from St. Teresa Catholic School in 1948, where she was the valedictorian of her class. Described as resilient and prayerful, Mary grew up in the Great Depression and lived through dust storms and tornadoes. Raising 12 children of her own, she was also resourceful and loved quilting and gardening, especially flowers, and one summer she raised over two tons of tomatoes. After raising her family, Mary worked in food service at Hutchinson Community College for 15 years before retiring. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, where she served on the Altar Society and Perpetual Adoration.

On June 28, 1948, Mary married Richard J. Webb Jr., in Hutchinson. They shared 68 years of marriage before his death on September 23, 2016.

She is survived by: her children, Catherine Hixon, Patricia Best (Harlan), Barbara Webb, all of Hutchinson, Frances Ronnau (Robert), Christine Webb-Mikesell, all of Mesa, AZ, Rita Carpenter (Kris), Mary Walker (David Cunningham), all of Overland Park, Daniel Webb of South Hutchinson; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae McKown (Jerry), Eloise Vincent, all of Midwest City, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughters, Ruth Martinie, Vivian Sorenson; sons, Richard Webb III, David Webb; grandsons, Brian Sorenson, William Grimes; and 11 siblings.

Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both officiated by Father Eric Weldon. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Monday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Memorial donations are suggested to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
