I knew Dean very well the last ten years of his life. He was an exceptional man, and he remains an inspiration to my heart and soul. I know he is an angel in heaven.

Dean was one of the best people I've ever known. I worked with him for a while and he was always the highlight of my day. Always funny, always positive and above all. always caring. The moment I found out about this, my heart sank because I know that the world just lost one helluva guy. My prayers are with your family and friends. You will never be forgotten. I miss you buddy.

Dean was a handsome and fun guy. At Hermitage he was always sought as an escort for Homecoming or Winter Carnival Court, because he also was nice. It's hard to believe he has left his family and close friends so suddenly. My prayers are with all of you who feel this loss most. God bless and keep you.

I have great memories of Dean in the Marine Corps. He kept everyone laughing, and he was a stand up guy. While I've never met Dean's family, you have my word that I'm praying for you. We will remember Dean at our Marine reunion this weekend.
