(Re-post) All of the NWA knew Don back in the day, It seems so long ago. Many of my friends in the business have gone before me and now Don has also. I am sure he is with them talking wrestling as he used to. I spoke to some of the others and they had to be reminded of him but once they were, you knew it bothered them to hear of him passing. He was a good man and I hope his kids are taking this well cause they were always with him. I am sorry he never came in with us, but I am sure he has had a good life. We are so sorry.

There isnt enough time nor words that i could describe my dad with. The pain that i feel and regrets that i have. My best friend told me that what ifs just bring sorrow and pain so i wont do that. I just want everybody to know and i want my dad to know that i always loved him and will never forget him and that he was the greatest man i ever knew. If all men in the world were like my dad the world would be a better place. Im gonna miss you dad. Your Son Forever.

PawPaw
I know this had to happen one day. But I think in my mind, why should this happen so soon. You touched everone's hearts that knew you. If only you could be by my side every minute. I wish I was much closer to you. Anyone who got the pleasure to meet you, to know you, to even talk to you was a lucky person. At least now you're in a happy plae. If Makaila was old enough to write something she would. We were so close but then you had to go. I cried so much after I went to bed. My Mom called me and said "he's gone." It was devastating just hearing those 2 words. I feel we could of been much closer than we were. I know this had to happen one day, but I wish it wasn't so soon. Tommy is going to miss you so much, but I guess this has to happen everyone. Daddy can't tak it that you're gone, but nobody can believe it. R.I.P.
With Love & Care

Sons Eric, Nathan, Joey and our mom Fay send our condolences. my dad had many friends in life from when he worked for the Richmond Foundry and the many pro wrestlers that knew him some gone now and some still going from Roddy Piper to Rick Flair by him working for the Richmond Coliseum in the NWA years. He will be remembered as a loving father that would give his all for his kids and who always had a playful heart and a great personality that everyone loved. he always tried to do everything he could to take care of his family no matter what it was een dressing up as the Kelly Dragon for a burger chain in the 70s and pumping gas at a local BP. Our dad always was a great man that we loved very much. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also played Santa Claus at christmas going to nursing homes giving out presents and dancing with all the ladies , being the oldest son I was his helper. Im just sorry I didn't get to see him before this happened. I had not seen him since I was married so seeing his picture here just me miss him even more.

Dearest June,
We are so sorry for your loss. Donald will be greatly missed by all. He was a wonderful Friend, a Loving Family Man and a Prized Volunteer at LAMB's Basket. He had a heart bigger than he was. We know the Lord must have needed Donald there with him to have called him home so early. We have truly lost a Great Man. May the Lord be with you June and your family during your time of need.
