November 17, 1946 - December 18, 2025
Joan Marie Smart, 79, of North Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025. She is preceded into heaven by her beloved husband of 45 years, Durward Monroe Smart; daughter, Jodi Marie Smart; and son, Gary Wayne Smart. Joan is Survived by her son, Johnny Smart and his wife, Anita. A Richmond native, Joan was a devoted wife and mother with a big heart. The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, December 29 at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road in Richmond, followed by a celebration of Joan's life 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30. Interment to be private.
