DORINE BEERS

BEERS, Dorine Elizabeth "Nannie," 88, formerly of Waverly, Va. and currently of Farmville, daughter of William H. Overby and Flossie M. Stevens, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2009 at home with her family by her side after her battle with cancer. She is survived by her devoted and loving daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Wright and husband, James, of Farmville, Helen Gardner and husband, Richard, of Lenoir, N.C., Peggy Smith and husband, Russell, of Roanoke and Audrey Cooper and husband, George, of Coleman, Mich.; eight grandchildren and their families and 11 great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at Dunkum Funeral Home, 16923 Oak Street, Dillwyn, Va. 23936. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 12 p.m. with visitation to begin at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, 947 Trents Mill Road, Cumberland, Va. 23040, with graveside services to follow. Nannie's love for Our Lord and her family was evident, she will be deeply missed.
