Doris Lucas BROYLES

BROYLES, Doris Lucas, 82, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away at her home November 10, 2009. She was born in Pembroke, Va. and was a longtime resident of Richmond, where she was a member of Tomahawk Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered for her giving nature, her loving heart and her willingness to help others. Left to cherish her memory are two sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick Jr. and Vikki Broyles, and Ronnie and Cynthia Broyles; five grandchildren, Beau, Brandon, Ashley, Kenneth and Angela; three great-grandchildren and six siblings, Norma Hill, Peggy Nichols, Harriet Albert, Eugene Lucas, Howard Lucas and Joe Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Broyles; and her infant daughter, Jean Broyles. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 13, and one hour prior to a "Celebration of Life Service" on Saturday, November 14 at 2 p.m. at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Interment will follow at Tomahawk Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, Durham, N.C. 27710.
