HARTFORD - Bobby Dean Broyles, 90, of Hartford, Kentucky passed away at Signature Healthcare of Hartford on December 16th, 2025. He was born January 28th, 1935 in Pittsburg, Kansas to the late Calvin “Jack” and Margaret “Culebra” Nygren Broyles.
Bobby loved his church family at Hartford Christian Church where he was a song leader, elder Sunday school teacher, started the Youth Outreach program, worked vacation bible school, and taught Wednesday Bible studies. He was a mechanic for the church vans as well as for all of his family. He taught Sunday school at Green River Boys Camp for 40 years. He sang in the Lordsmen Quartet. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially UK basketball. He was retired from Peabody Coal Company. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a Hartford Sorehead. Bobby and his wife supported Subway in Beaver Dam for 30 years at least twice a day.
In addition to his parents, Bobby, is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Broyles and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Rose Erwin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years, Joyce Tichenor Broyles; daughters, Debbie (Mike) Erwin, Vickie Raymond, and Melanie (Chris) Boyd; grandchildren, Zach (Sasha) Erwin, Daphne (Shane) Ralston, Travis Raymond, Tabitha Hall, Felicia (Luke) Stuard, Keara (Kevin) Everley, Seth Burden, and Rena (Patrick) Shown; great-grandchildren, Zeke Erwin, Austin Hall, Taylor Carter, Eli Ralston, Aaron Ralston, Shainna Ralston, Ryan Ralston, Colby Ralston, Caleb Everley, Aynsley Everley, Reid Burden, Maddux Burden, Rose Burden, Briley (Jesse) Chinn, Banks Raymond, Derik Hall, Morgon Hall, Cole Hall, Marley Lindsey, Jesslyn Hamilton and Cailyn Hamilton; great-great-grandson, Augustus Michael Hall; and sister, Cathy Broyles Branch.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Hartford Christian Church with Bro. Scott Parker presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
