EDWARD JONES Obituary

JONES, Edward E., 63, of 2706 Cleary Road, Richmond, went home to be with the Lord April 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Jones Sr.; mother, Virginia Bryant and two sisters, Martha Jones and Sylvia Cornelius; one brother, Samuel Jones. Edward was a truck driver for 35 years. He was an avid golfer and loved playing his guitar. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Shirley; one son, Jeffrey (Angie); five daughters, Gail (John), Mary (John), Kim (Bernard), April (Nicholas) and Hope (Tray); three brothers, five sisters, 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, 600 B Street, Ashland. Home-going services will be Saturday, May 1, 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 310 N. Snead Street, Ashland. Rev. Darryl Leftwich, pastor. Rev. Dale Heiskill officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Garden. Online condolences can be made at fedabneyfuneralhome.com.
