Dear Laura and Randee,
Everyone in the Hagy family was saddened to hear about your mother's death. She was a unique and memorable presence in our lives. She was probably the first truly independent, hard-driving professional woman I ever knew, and her high standards and belief in hard work have stayed with me ever since my first riding lesson 43 years ago. Please know that my thoughts are with you in your time of grief. You mother was a gift to us all.

Dear Laura,
I was saddened to read of your Mothers death. I know you were very close, and shared a common interest in horses. She was clearly a gifted horse woman who led a full and long life. I know you and your family will miss her deeply.
Kindest regards,
Earle Betts
My best to you and your family d

Randee:
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom was a part of my early life when she taught me so much about horses, how to care for them, and how to ride properly. And...as you also know, she did the same for Sara when she was young.
She was a stunningly beautiful woman with much class. I know she was an inspiration to many during her life.
May God comfort you during this time of grief.

Twenty three years ago, your mother gave my daughter, Megan, her first riding lessons at age 4. She taught Megan, not only how to ride well, but how to have confidence in her abilities. We have such wonderful memories...when we moved away, we could never find anyone to match her. She taught me how to turn a truck and horse trailer around in the middle of nowhere and I still have the pants with a missing pocket (pony involved) and I am sure your mom is still laughing about that one. Please know that our thoughts are with you and that she made our lives so much richer for having known her. Jo (Dixon) Hurd

Your Mother has always been a big part of Bedford's history and was great friends with my Mom and myself as well. I saw her and talked to her quite a few times through the years. She's an elegant lady and a big part of my childhood. Loveto all 3 of you kids and the rest of her family, Mary Keith

I am friends with Mrs. Beckman's son, Phil. On several occasions over the last few years I called her home, looking for him. Sometimes, when he was out, I'd end up spending the next twenty minutes talking to her! What a nice, loving and charming lady she was. I regret never meeting her in person, but am glad I at least got to talk with her. May she rest in peace, and may God be with the rest of her family during this difficult time.
