Elizabeth Adams Obituary

ADAMS, Elizabeth "Betty" Ann, 81, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of the Hopewell Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lula Mason Craven; her husband, Russell Adams; her son, Steven L. Freeman; a sister, Ethel Jones; and three brothers, Earl, James and Eugene Craven. Surviving are her granddaughter, Chelsey Freeman of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Mildred DeWolfe and Nancy Stacy, both of Chester; two nieces, Judy Cutrona of Prince George and Nancy Ingalsbe and husband, Terry, of Herndon, Va.; two nephews, Billy Rook and wife, Mary Lou, of Helena, Mont., and Scott Stacy and his wife, Barbara, of Chester. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Bermuda Memorial Park, with Rev. Wayne Pennington, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Hopewell Church of the Brethren, 4415 Monroe St., Hopewell, Va. 23860. Condolence may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.
