LAMPP, Ethel "Jeanette," age 77, of Macclenny, Fla., passed away on January 1, 2010 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab. Jeanette was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late, David Cone Mays and Ethel Pearl Kerr Mays on May 9, 1932. She has been a resident of Baker County since 1972 after moving from Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the Terry Parker Baptist Church of Jacksonville and the First Christian Church of Macclenny. Jeanette enjoyed sewing, crafts, word puzzles, shopping, crocheting, needle point and serving other people by lending a helping hand. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Berry Alvin Lampp. Family members include her children, Terry Moshier of Glen St. Mary, Fla., David (Debbie) Lampp of Southern California, Franklin (Debbie) Lampp of Gainesville, Fla., Richard Lampp of Chicago, Ill., Wilda (Walt) Heppner of Glen St. Mary, Fla., and Dale (Julie) Lampp of Lawtey, Fla.; her 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Macclenny with Pastor Doug Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Macclenny Nursing and Rehab, 755 South 5th Street, Macclenny, Fla. 32063 (904)259-4873. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V. I know we've all reached an age where our parent's passing isn't totally unexpected but that doesn't lessen the sense of loss or the knowledge that our emotional safety net is gone. Who ever loved us better than our mamas? Be strong and know she's loving you still, just from a different place.
