Evelyn Fink

FINK, Evelyn Williams, 98, of Richmond, widow of The Rev. Dr. Harold H. Fink, died Friday, January 8, 2010. She was born in Giles County, Va., the oldest child of the late Robert Linley Williams and Vella Meadows Williams. She resided at The Hermitage in Richmond. Mrs. Fink was a graduate of Longwood College earning a degree in mathematics with a minor in history. She was a lifelong active member of The United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one sister and three brothers. Mrs. Fink is survived by her twin daughters, Judith F. Turbiville (Harry P. Jr.) and Julia F. Weatherford (Richard L.); grandsons, Patrick L. Turbiville (Amanda) and Mark P. Turbiville (Alice); great-grandchildren, Logan Patrick and Lila Evelyn Turbiville; sisters, Juritta W. Hackworth and Ruth W. Chaves; brother-in-law, The Rev. Dr. Wm. Jeryl Fink (Ann) and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at The Chapel of The Hermitage in Richmond, 1600 Westwood Ave., on Monday, January 11, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service. Interment at Westhampton Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to The Hermitage Samaritan Fund, 7113 Three Chopt Road, Richmond, Va. 23226, or the Memorial Fund at Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Ave., Richmond, Va. 23229.
