i went to high school with Gary and he was one of only a few who saw fit toi am sorry for your loss and even though it has been mamy years since i have seen him he was always my friend.

Gary will be greatly missed. We on the Oncology Unit are greatful to have known him and been a part of yalls family. He was a wonderful person who made all of us smile when he came to our unit. We will always love and miss him.

sue,jamie and shawn, I remember when i first met gary i asked brenda if a person could really be that nice.It wasn't long that i found our that yes he could really be that nice. what a kind spirit and beautifull person gary was.his face always lit up when he talked of you and the boys you were the joy of his life. he was so kind to mom and i.we will miss he and please know that you are in our prayers.dad once said god must have needed another special angle and he got one in gary.

I have never seen so many people who were touched by having known Gary Hamlin. The impact he had on people. He had a kind and gentle spirit. He had such a positive attitude and was so kind to everyone he came in contact with. I never would of thought he'd be gone so soon. I am sooo sorry for you guys. My deepest Sympathy. God’s Garden
God looked around His garden

and He saw your tired face.

He knew that you were suffering.
He knew you were in pain.

It broke our hearts to lose you
but you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you

My husband and I were at the Va Cancer Ctr on several occasions when Gary was there. Several times we spoke about him. The first time we saw him he was in a wheel chair because he was so weak, but the last time we saw him, he looked good and strong. He had a very friendly, warm smile and we were glad to see he was feeling better. We don't have answers for what happens here on earth, but we know our God has us in the palm of his hand.
Just wanted you to know that Gary's smile touched our lives.

A great husband, father, uncle, brother in law, son in law, friend, all of these great things and more are what Gary has portrayed a life of. Our hearts remain sad that he isnt with us any longer but its out of knowing the man he was that we are able to keep our will strong. Gone but never forgotten! Gary was a great man, loving husband to Sue & super dad to Shawn & Jamie. We all will miss him deeply! When I think of him I remember his smile, the twinkle in his eyes & his laughter. The loving way he looked at Sue. Gary, one day we will see you again. Even in our pains I believe God gave Gary a special gift these few months the gift of "Time" time to conclude his journey here and to make peace with God. Many are taken from us suddenly not having a chance to make that spiritual connection.
