My thoughts are with Ms Ellis's family and friends. I will always treasure the fond memories I have of her as my 4th grade teacher. She will be missed by many!

I was so sorry to learn of Gayle's passing. Although we had kept in touch through the years, I had not spoken with her recently. She taught both of my children at Persons Corner Elementary School and was one of the best teachers that they had. She instilled in them that the love of learning and succeeding in life was more important than the grade one received on a test or project. I will miss her sharp wit and humor. I extend my sincere sympathy to Gayle's family. I haven't seen her in years but will always remember her kindness to my children and myself, assuring that we visited the Museum while we were on vacation in Richmond. Jane McCormick Marlboro, Vermont

I am so sorry to hear of Gayle's passing. I have not seen her in years, but have very fond memories from my visits to Richmond when I was a child visiting my Aunt and Uncle. The entire family was so kind hearted. They all will be truely missed. My thoughts and prayers go to the entire family. God bless you all at this difficult time.

I too was saddened by Mrs. Ellis's death. I had been visiting her at St. Mary's hospital since her surgery and we had some long talks. She had gotten very weak the last time I saw her and was so afraid she was not getting any better. I'm with Mended Hearts and Mary Shreve and I visited with her several times over the past several weeks. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Mrs. Ethel Nelmes
