George Chappell Obituary

CHAPPELL, Mr. George Randolph, 86, of Dinwiddie, widower of Dorothy Schubert Chappell, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Lucille Archer Chappell; daughters, Lydia Chappell Williams and husband, George, and Mary Chappell Williams and husband, Gene; stepdaughter, Gloria Archer Tereschenko; stepson, David Archer and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Angela Williams Crets and husband, Thomas, Matthew Randolph Chappell and wife, Sarah, Amanda Archer and Brian Archer; and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willie Ambler Chappell Jr. and wife, June, and Gene Chappell and wife, Alice Faye. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009 at Concord United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at church 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Concord United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Sam Clay, 25110 Courthouse Rd., Stony Creek, Va. 23882.
