Webb F. Chappell

Webb F. Chappell of Newton, MA, passed on October 26, 2025. Webb was born in Bronxville New York to Patricia Purcell Chappell and Hayward H. Chappell on August 13, 1956. Webb led his life with genuine curiosity and compassion. He was a brilliant visual artist but his true masterpieces were the relationships he formed. Webb was a commercial Photographer. In life as in his photography, Webb's genuine humility, and vibrant curiosity of his subjects and their stories, allowed their authentic self to emerge.
Webb married his soul mate, Linda Witt- Chappell, in 1984, who he met at the New England Aquarium. They shared a life long curiosity of the ocean and of the canyons and deserts of the southwest. Their love affair bloomed for 44 years, and continues through Linda and their two children and their spouses, Ava G. Chappell MD, and husband Matt Ordon MD, and Julian Chappell and partner, Ana Mijailovic. Webb also leaves behind his beloved grand daughter, Althea Webb Ordon,
Webb taught us how to love life. Everyday was greeted with joy and a sense of adventure. Sharing his adventures were the greatest gift of all. Webb asked us to enter into a sense of wonder. His pure loving generous spirit remains a thing of beauty. It is a beacon of light for his family and friends, it is a fortress for us a sacred space to share.
