Geraldine Laura "Geri" Leger

Geraldine Laura Leger, affectionately known as Geri, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Malden, MA. Born on October 17, 1934, in Moncton, NB, Canada, to Gerald and Helen "Nellie" Gould (Cooper), Geri's warmth and vivacity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.
Geri was a beacon of light, guiding her family with her funny, friendly, and optimistic nature. She was the beloved mother of Tanya Leger (Marilyn Disario) of Malden, MA, and Gerald Leger of Galloway, NB, Canada. She was a cherished grandmother to Phoenix Leger of Bristol, NH, and a proud great- grandmother to Reed Eddy, also of Bristol, NH. Geri's extended family included her niece Lynn Kaloian of Nipomo, CA, and nephews Danny Leger of MA and Todd Anderson of London. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph "Henry" Leger, her son Terry Leger, her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Gould, and her parents.
Geri's life was a tapestry of love and laughter. She was a devoted fan of the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Blue Jays, whose games she never missed thanks to the NBA and MLB League passes. When her beloved teams weren't playing, she could be found engrossed in the World Series of Poker or unraveling the intricate plots of her favorite British Murder Mysteries, with Midsomer Murders being a particular favorite.
Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the individuals who provided unwavering support and care during Geri's final years. Special thanks are given to Joan Paolin, Shirley Disario, and David and Elise Strizhak for their assistance and kindness. The family also deeply appreciates the love, care, and companionship provided by her dedicated CNAs, Emily and Yasmin, who were a source of great comfort to Geri.
The professional and compassionate services of BILH AT Home Hospice were instrumental in providing Geri with dignity and peace in her final days. The family is forever grateful for their dedication. Geri's life was a journey filled with joy, resilience, and an unwavering spirit that inspired everyone around her. Her legacy will live on through the stories shared, her wit and playful sarcasm, and the love she gave so freely. As we bid farewell to Geri, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who knew her.
