Dot, I got to know George thru church and the DOCC group. He was such a good man and I will miss him. We both were into racing and I'll never forget when he bought the Bill Elliott race car. George was like a kid telling me about it and I got a big kick out of it. We always talked about him letting me drive it. I was very shocked and deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I liked his easy manner and his genuine interest in other people. George always had an interesting and refreshing perspective on things and I really enjoyed hearing what was on his mind. He also talked about his family and it was obvious how much he loved all of you. Simply put, he was one of life's good guys and a pleasure to have known. May God bless you and know that George will be missed and remembered with fondness.

Dear Dot,
We haven't met, but I substituted for your classes last week and was sorry to hear of your husband's death.
Even though this is a very difficult time in your life, many people are praying for you and your family. May God give you the strength you need each day as you face challenges without George.
It's amazing, but someone I know remembered George from Anthem, and I know one of your neighbor's who attend my church.
Please know that God's love is always with you.
Sincerely, Olga S.

My son loved Mr.George and his race cars and spoke of them often, he goes to Miss Lynette's and one of my favorite pictures is of all of the kids standing next to the race car. Your husband was very sweet to all of the children at Lynette's. He will be missed, my thoughts and condolences to you and your family.

I had the great pleasure of meeting George about a year ago thru my husband. Their great love of racing made them fast friends. George was always there with a smile when they worked on his car. We already miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

As a volunteer with Henrico CASA since 2001, George brought his gentle kindness to many children who needed a voice. He was admired and respected by CASA staff and the professionals he assited. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.

My name is Teresa Greene and my father and I knew George through our Virginia International Raceway memberships. My father and George always parked their trailers next to one another and spent entire weekends bonding over their shared love for racing. George motivated and inspired my father and I in many ways. He will truly be missed by many. A kind soul, may he rest in peace.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. George was a great neighbor. A few months ago, he invited me to take my car to the race track as his guest. I never got the chance to go but I'll never forget him coming over to talk to me about my car and wanting me to be his guest at the track. I saw George a few days before he passed away. I drove by the house and he waved and smiled. Thank you, George, for being such a good man. Family, we will be praying for each of you in the days ahead. May God's peace and comfort be with you all.

I work at The Oak Tree Tavern at Virginia International Raceway and I served George many times. He was always so very friendly and appreciative. I also work at The VIR Store and ordered a coat for him several months ago and he was so happy that I was able to do that for him. He thanked me over and over.
I talked with him briefly on Friday night.....I was not working but there with my daughter. I am saddened by his passing and will miss him very much. He was always very upbeat and positive.....just a good person.
I have been praying for him and his family and will continue to do so.
