Elvie, I will always remember your and George's kindness in sharing your home and holiday gatherings with our mutual friend Fred Bock. It was a generous thing for you to do and showed your true nature. I am sorry to be late in expressing this as I did not know until recently. Al Wells

To Elvie and family,
My deepest condolences to all of you. I'll always remember and be grateful to George and Elvie for their kindness and support in 1965 when I first met you. It was a time when Linda, Elvie's sister, and I were engaged to be married. We were young and you gave your full support for our upcoming marriage. Your reward for your love and kindness on earth is eternal salvation in heaven.

Mr Jones will always be an important andd fond memory to the Anderson family. We were always made to feel part of the family. From him taking Nicolle to Garret's, to talking with Renee' and Heather, he was always there! Watching him 'nap' in his boat in the late afternoon, we knew all was right with the world. May his family bask in the memories of a great man.

George will always "be" the river for us. He was there at the beginning all the way to the end of the campground story.
It was a privilege to have known him

George and I were colleagues in the House of Delegates, serving together on the Finance Committee. I admired his adherence to principle and candor; there was never difficulty in determining where George stood on an issue. He was a fine legislator and a good friend who will be missed. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family. Ted Morrison

George was a fair and honest businessman and he will be missed in Richmond's construction industry. He had a great sense of humor and was always happy to share a quick joke to lighten the day. We offer our thoughts, prayers and condolences to his family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy to the whole family, keeping everybody in our thoughts & prayers! Too many great memories to mention, but would like to mention some: river days, garretts marina, sharks tooth hunting, lowery's, shoneys, dairy queen, 7 eleven, walmart trips at tappahanock... loved all his story telling, esp. about his military service time while in Philippines. We'll all missed him dearly.
