Gil you always managed to put a bright smile on my face, even when we were going through. My love for you has not changed. I miss you so very much and think of you often. I know you are up in heaven telling your funny jokes and making everyone laugh. I thank God for all the lives you touched while you were here on earth.

For you Gil I do light a candle. I met you as a teenager in the midst of a crisis. I temporaily lost my family. You were there and you tried to do all you could to help me and my siblings get through it. You, Gil, will always be my brothers father and my daughters great uncle. I never told him but he is so much more. I respected him for what he did for my family and will always cherish his memory. Gil was so full of life, so silly and fun to be around. He is survived by a loving supportive family that I like to claim as my own. The word that i will most remember him by is "JOKE--JOKE--JOKE!!!" My daughter and I send our deepest condolences to all that are affected by his departure and we shall hold you all up in prayer.Peace from Latifa Little and Tawana Camelia Lewis

Gilchist is my brothers dad and my daughters great uncle. He has always been pleasant company to be around. I have loved him and the members of his family for as long as I can remember. Gil was the kind of guy that you could not stay angry with. He was so silly, so lively, and such a nice guy.I met Gil as a teenager and it was a very awkward time for me.I had temporarily lost my family and Gil tried to do what he could to see my family through that ordeal. Looking back, I respected Gil for that and will always cherish his memory. My daughter and I send our deepest condolences out to all that are effected by his departure. I would like to remember him by three words. "JOKE--JOKE--JOKE!"from Latifa Little/Tawana Camelia Lewis

I do not know Mr. Eggleston, but I can tell by his obituary that he was special. I loved the way he thanked all of the special people in his life. He is obviously resting with his loved ones that were waiting for him...beautiful.
