Valerie and Glo's family.
As this book closes, I wanted to say one more time, how much Glo meant to me. We laughed, she fussed at me, and we talked lottery numbers all the time, because I was always winning and she wanted my numbers. Although I gave them to her a hundred times, I don't think she ever played them. We talked about me retiring and leaving A & N, and how much she wished that she was old enough to retire. She said that she was tired and would give any thing to be able to retire, as I was. When I heard that Glo had only a short time to live,my heart hurt. When I was told that she had passed on to a better world, I wanted her back. But. I was happy for her, that she would suffer, no more. We are selfish in the fact that we want our loved ones back, for they are in a much better place than us.
Glo. We will see you again, on the streets of Gold, where there will be no more sadness and sorrow, no more suffering, but joy in our lives.
Rest in Peace, my dear friend, until we meet again.

It's been one year since your passing and it still hurts because when you lose someone it is very devastating. It makes you feel sad, angry, lonely, confused and even worried. It is an enormous event that changes your life forever. I wish that we could have you back with us, but you are in a place where we hope to be one day. I am just grateful for the years that we did have together. I will always love and cherish the memories. Luv you with all my heart.

Glo. Here I am again, thinking about you and our times at A & N. It was hard work and long hours, some times. When I retired in 2000, I kept coming back up to Va., to come over to see you and my friends. You always told me--" I sure do wish that I could retire". I told you (since we always talked "lottery"), that if I ever struck it rich, I would help you to be able to retire. I miss you, Glo, and the good, and some times bad (LOL), times that we used to have. Rest in peace my dear friend. You are finally retired. No more pain and suffering, and for that, I am grateful. Love and miss you.

Just thinking of Glo, today. I know that she is so at peace, now, and that she isn't suffering any more. I know also, that she is looking down on her family. Tameka. When you feel a cool breeze brush your cheek, feel as if your grandmother is touching you in a way, only she can. She loved you very much and talked of you often.
Glo left many memories for her family and friend's from A & N. I miss the day's that she used to fuss at me for something I did wrong in pulling the orders for a store. She is missed by a lot of people.

What a shock to hear of Glo's passing. I worked with her for 21 years at A&N. She was very proud of Tameka and her great grandchildren. I remember when she showed them off at work. We all have good memories of Glo from A&N. My condolences go out to her family.

To My Sister Gloria,
This has been a difficult time for all of us, but it has been extremely difficult for me, watching what you had to encounter day in and day out, I was very proud of the way you handled everything, you never got down on yourself or complained about any of it, you took it head on. Gloria I will always love and keep your memories in my heart. I know that you are in a better place now, your love and spirit will live in us forever and that is what has made it much easier to bare. I will always treasure the memories that we shared whether good or bad. You left an empty space in my heart, but everytime I look at a picture of you I will know that you are smiling down on me. But there is one thing that I will certainly miss, those phone calls three and four times a day. Gloria rest in peace.

Grandma, Everyone saw the bond we had, but no one can feel the love, secrets, arguments, and consultations that were shared amongst the 2 of us. Right now I am aching because I am hurting but I am also at peace of knowing that you're no longer suffering. Now I understand why ppl say life is to short and it is, I just wish I had that one last chance to hold you and look into your eyes to say I LOVE U. The kids will never forget you and you will always be their GG. You were there for me when no one else was around. I could call anytime for anything, The thing that I will miss most is your laugh and smile when something was so funny and u just couldn't stop laughing. Your words of encouragement, your advice even when I was was wrong is embedded in me and each day I have a breath of air, they will stay with me and i will mature to be the woman, the daughter, the child you raised. I love you and don't worry, your son is not alone!
Each day it gets a little easier knowing that you are in a better place..My mind is at ease but my heart is still with you....Still not real

Love always, Your Meka

To The Crawley Family:
Continue to trust in the Lord and you will see your love one on the other side of the "James River". Another "Fulton Love One" has passed to join the pages in the Havenly Book of Fulton Greats. Sadness is a brief period of time only to be replace with the good times we all have shared with your mother. May the Lord continue to keep the family close and together.

To a dear friend that I work with for over 18 years at A&N. I will never forget when Glo use to come to the office to talk to me, she would tell me the funniest stories and we would laugh and give each other high fives at the end, and then we would talk about what the lottery number was the night before, and how we just missed it or seem the number somewhere.
You my friend will be truely missed.
To the Crawley family I will keep you in my prayers.

Glo will certainly be missed. I worked with Glo for many years and I can recall standing at her workstation on several occasions "listening to her talk about the love she had for her family and how she wanted the best for them. I often think of her bragging on how she could drive over a month on one tank of gas. Glo was dedicated to A&N and if you wasn't, she'd let you know. I will keep you in my prayers and Glo in my memories.
