EVANS, Harold Sr., 79, of Richmond, departed this life on November 23, 2009. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Baylor. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Lillian W. Evans; six daughters, Carol Evans, Jean Thrower, Natalie Wallace (Reginald), Kate Scott (K. Joseph), Stephanie Carroll (Ronald) and Samedra Satterwhite; three sons, Harold Jr. (Sarah), Jay (Meleese) and Michael Evans; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. and Thursday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, in the March Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. David N. Wright of Community Church of Christ officiating. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to your familiy during this great loss. Mr. Evans was "strong" man in every sense of the word. Harold, Jr. is like a brother to me and the entire Evans family has been like a second family. May God bless you.
