Dad was a great father and father-inlaw . We never doubted his love for us. He was always ready to help and supported us in all our endeavors.
He taught me how to work with my hands but most of all he modeled how to love your family and be a man.
I will miss you dad.

Pop was a joy to our family and will be missed by so many, near and far.Knowing that he is reunited with Shirley will hopefully be a comfort to the family that loved him so much. Such a kind gentleman, we will always have fond memories of our time with him, Charlotte and Lance at the Outer Banks. Our prayers are with the entire James family..we were honored to have known "Pop"and will miss him very much. Marianne and Jack Davenport

Anne,
You are in our thoughts and prayers, as is the rest of your family. Take strength in the Lord, he will carry you through this. I am still letting him carry me and it's been 3 months.
You have a large family and they all will have many wonderful and funny stories. Share these you will not believe how much it helps.
Love,
Sherry, Cary, Jamie, G.C., and Greg

To the family of Mr. James I send my love and you will all be in my prayers for the loss of a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Take peace and comfort in knowing that he is at home with our loving God and his love will be with you always.
You will be in my heart and in my prayers that God will surround you with His peace and love to sustain you in the days to come.
Love,

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a "Special Guardian Angel" to watch over you. "Pop" was a wonderful and kind man and had a zest for life and his family. May you be comforted by the love and support of family and friends and may your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of the joyful times you shared together. God Bless you all.

Uncle Herbert, you were a true gentleman, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. You will be missed greatly by those closest to you but you are now at home with your Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ, and your beloved Shirley, who I know you loved dearly and missed greatly.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I pray the Lord will comfort and strengthen them. I can never forget the smile and positive approach to life that you shared with us as we grew up and moved on with each of our lives.
You have completed the race, fought the good fight and remained faithful (2 Timothy 4:7); now, you are sitting at the feet of your Lord and enjoying enternity with your beloved Shirley.
You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
