HARRIS, Irma McBroom, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010, in Richmond, Va., after having Alzheimer's disease for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. David A. Harris; as well as her parents and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Glenn Harris of Saltillo, Miss., Gordon Harris and wife, Deb Wysong, of Ipswich, Mass., and Camille Harris and husband, Dennis LaMountain, of Richmond, Va. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Jean Wilson and husband, Scoot Wilson, of Batesville, Miss.; and by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank The Hermitage, Glenburnie Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and Hospice of Virginia, all of Richmond, Va., for the loving care they provided for Irma over the last five-and-a-half years. A memorial service and celebration of Irma's life will be held on November 20, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, in Tupelo, Miss. A reception will follow after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 2434, Tupelo, Miss. 38803, designated for the Sanctuary Carpet Fund.
