HOPPER, Jack, 79, of Farmville, Va., died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Farmville, Va. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lola Mae Hopper; three sons, Jay Bobby Hopper (Debbie) of Gloucester, Va., Jack Lane Hopper of Powhatan, Va., and Lionel Lee Hopper (Bonnie) of Powhatan, Va.; his daughter, Lola Marie Hopper of Cumberland, Va.; his 16 grandchildren; his 19 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Rita Poore (David) of Amelia, Va. and Imogean "Billie" Wash of Orlando, Fla.; his brother, Niles Hopper Jr. (Sammie) of Richmond, Va.; and special friends, Howard (Junie) and Sally Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Niles Hopper Sr. and Mary E. "Mollie" Bass; his sisters, Carolyn Lowe and Phyllis Mayhew; and his daughter-in-law, Patricia Lynn Hopper. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery Amelia, Va. with Military Honors.
