John Linwood PARRISH Jr.

PARRISH, John Linwood Jr., 56, son of the late Margaret and Linwood Parrish of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death and by both of his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Ann; a son, Clayton William Parrish; two stepchildren, Jeremy Daniel Davis of Panama City, Florida and Ashlee Nicole Davis of Richmond, Virginia. He also leaves a beloved aunt by marriage, Mrs. Grace R. Pearman of Richmond, Virginia. Jack was always interested in theatre, and recently had become a professor of theatre at Kentucky State University. Due to his progressing health problems, however, he was unable to return to that position. He passed away in a Richmond, Virginia hospital still fighting to beat that cancer bug. A memorial service will be held at Barksdale Theatre on Sunday, November 1 at 5 p.m.
