If this is Josephine Merryman Gibbons, widow of Hunter McGuire Gibbons, who was still living at the family homestead "Locust Dale" during the Gibbons-Yancey family reunion in 2001, then I once met her that I know of. I may well have seen her at other family functions as a child but not known who she was.
She seemed remarkably strong for a 95-year old back in 2001; she had all her faculties about her which is more than I can say for many others at that age. I hope the remaining years of her life were kind to her.

[1st cousin twice removed of her husband Hunter McGuire Gibbons]
