Debra A. (Pakula) Gibbons, 64, of Monmouth, Il passed on Monday, November 24, 2025, at her home.
Debra was born July 28, 1961, in LaSalle, IL the daughter of Richard and Sophie J. (Gardner) Pakula. She was raised and educated in Earlville, IL.
Debra married Mark Gibbons in Monmouth on July 28, 2013, and he survives.
She was a homemaker. She also worked at Casey’s General Store in Cornell, IL for 11 years, Tom & Linda’s, Dollar General and later Peoples-Do-It.
Debra was raised in the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, being goofy, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Gibbons; her children, Delissa (Gale) Wyatt- Leonard, Dixie Wyatt, Bob (Jody) Bennington, Christina (Marshall Wesby)Bennington and Felicia Bennington; her grandchildren, David, Dayna, Dezarhea, Derick, Daisy, Ryley, Wyatt, Katilynn, Bri, Harlee, Javier, Dawson, Nattie, Marshall, Dylan, Norbert and Daryl; several great-grandchildren; her brothers, Marshall (Angela) Pakula and Richard (Jessica) Pakula; sisters, Lynn (Alan) Smith, Jean (Ross) Konrad, Barb (Robbie) Edwards, Camillia (Robbie) Stevens; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Johnathon Bennington and Joe Pakula; grandson, R.J. Richardson; granddaughter, Rose Marie Richardson; brother, Steve Pakula and her sister, Cindy Huff.
Cremation has been accorded. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be announced and held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Debra A. Gibbons Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
