Lacontis Williams

WILLIAMS, Lacontis B. Wilder, age 92, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Richmond, Va., passed away November 17, 2009, the youngest child of the late David C. and Delia Graham Wilder of Richmond, Va. At an early age, Lacontis joined First Baptist Church of South Richmond under the direction of Dr. W.L. Ransome. She is survived by her nephew, David Jones (Willa Mae), of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a host of extended family. She was a Social Worker, as well as a Special Education Teacher, in New York for many years. Lacontis was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for 56 years. Following her retirement, Lacontis worked tirelessly with the Women's Advocate Ministry Inc. in New York. Funeral services will be held on November 23, 2009 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Brooklyn, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lacontis to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
