CHARLES, Laurett King, 90, of Richmond, widow of Walter R. Charles Jr., passed away April 22, 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Donna C. Gwaltney and Lora C. Strube and husband, Roger; five grandchildren, Kimberly Brewer, J. Allan Gwaltney and wife, Lisa, Charles Strube and wife, Irika, Andrew Strube and wife, Sara, and Amanda Strube; five great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Mackenzie, John, Conner and Aaron. Mrs. Charles was a longtime member of Hermitage Country Club, and one of her proudest accomplishments was her hole-in-one achieved there. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers for their loving kindness at the Windsor and Odyssey. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9400 Redbridge Road and Arch Road, Richmond, Va. 23236. Memorial contributions may be made to Comfort Zone Camp, 4906 Cutshaw Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230.

Donna, Lora and Families you have our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother, Grand-Mother and Great-Grand Mother. What a wonderful lady she was. Growing up around her was quite a blessing I will always remember. Hang onto the memories. God Bless.
