Lauretta DUDLEY

DUDLEY, Lauretta Klindworth "Laurie," of Richmond, predeceased by her husband, Lee Pendleton Dudley, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and LaRita Klindworth. She is survived by three children, Lee Pendleton Dudley Jr. and his wife, Isabel, Frischkorn Dudley, Marion Dudley Halladay and her husband, Clark William Halladay, and Laura Dudley Dyke and her husband, James Kevin Dyke; seven wonderful grandchildren, Lee Pendleton Dudley III, Charlotte Vaughan Dudley, Baylor Boatwright Dudley, Margaret Lee Halladay, Clark William Halladay Jr., Douglas Bradford Dyke and Whitney Eleanor Dyke, all of Richmond; her sister, Shirley K. Singleton of Waxahachie, Texas; and her half-brother, Bill Klindworth of Dallas, Texas. In addition to being a loving and devoted grandmother, Laurie was an active volunteer in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, The Woman's Club, the Junior League of Richmond, and the Tuckahoe Garden Club of Westhampton which is a member of the Garden Club of Virginia. She served as a Junior Board Member of the Children's Hospital. She was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Country Club of Virginia. Mrs. Dudley was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and graduated from Southern Methodist University. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23226.
