LUCY JETT

JETT, Lucy Beatrice "Bea" Brown, 92, of Reedville, Va., departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Bea, as she was known, was a retired Postal worker in Reedville, a Life member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville Fisherman's Museum and Northumberland County Historical Society. She was a previous member of Fairfield Fire Department Auxiliary, Northumberland Rescue Squad Auxiliary, and manager of Rainbow Thrift Shop of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Bertrand Jett; and son, Fletcher Bertrand "Sonny" Jett. She is survived by two daughters, Flora Mae Saunders and husband, H.C. of Reedville, Va., Lucy "Polly" Jett Hinton and husband, William of Browns Store, Va.; five grandchildren, Kim Jett Onder and husband, Jeff, Sharon S. Lewis, Christopher Saunders and wife, Tina, Stacey Hinton Kitchen and husband, Stephan, Robert D. Hinton and wife, Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Caroline Onder, Maegan Lewis, Brennon, Collin, Carson and Layton Saunders, Bryce, Chase and Jack Ryan Kitchen and Harrison Hinton; sister-in-law, Annette Jett and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville, Va. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, Reedville, Va. Interment will follow at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville, Va.
