Deborah Jean Wright Harvey

Deborah Jean Wright Harvey, 69, of Heathsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 8, 1955, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Deborah brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. She had a vibrant spirit and a love for the simple pleasures in lifeshopping for treasures, watching her Redskins play, playing cards with family and friends, relaxing by her beloved swimming pool, and cherishing every moment spent with those she loved most.

Deborah was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her father, Richard Wright; her brothers, Michael Wright and Rodney Wright; her children, Alicia Johnson (Ty), Ashley Teel, Warren Harvey, and Patrick Harvey (Christina); eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Jean Wright, and her husband, Jerry Harvey, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Deborah's life will be honored and celebrated in Richmond, VA on July 16th at 11:00 a.m. located at Derbyshire Baptist Church 8800 Derbyshire Road Richmond, VA 23229, as her family gathers to remember the laughter, love, and warmth she so generously shared.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to remember Deborah by spending time with your loved ones, playing a favorite card game, or simply enjoying a sunny day by the waterjust as she would have.

We would like to give thanks to Riverside hospice for their dedication to Deborah over the last few weeks. The nurses and aides were amazing and treated us all like family. We would also like to give thanks to Currie funeral home for their loving care during this time. The staff has been truly gracious and caring throughout this time.
