Margaret Ann "Peg" Hiler

HILER, Margaret "Peg" Ann, nee Call, of Powhatan, Va., died in Richmond on September 29, 2010. She was born December 2, 1936 to Walter and Anna May Call in Schenectady, N.Y. Peg attended Cornell University and graduated from State University College at Brockport with a degree in education. Peg taught English and Reading at Byron-Bergen Central School, Bergen, N.Y., for 26 years, retiring in 1999. In 2003 she moved to Powhatan, Va., to be near family. Peg was a very active member of the Powhatan YMCA, where she enjoyed water aerobics, card club, book club and many wonderful trips. She is survived by daughter, Denise Hiler Coffin, and children, Charles and Kristen, of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; son and wife, Adam and Marcia Hiler, and children, Glen and Annabelle Hiler, of Powhatan, Va.; brother and wife, James and Brunhilda Call, of Henderson, Colo. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Edward Call; and her son, Christopher Dean Hiler. She will be greatly missed by her family. Interment will be private.
