Yesterday was your birthday. I celebrated it in my heart but shared your memories with everyone. Time does not change how much I miss you although I know you are in a better place. Just know that you are always in my heart. My tears are not of joy just yet. Maybe someday I will be able to say that. I love and miss you so much. Your pennies tell us that you are always with us. Smile!!

Mama, I cannot believe it has been 2 years. 2 years without hearing your voice or seeing you. I miss you so much. You were my biggest cheerleader. You were the one who said I could do whatever I wanted in life. I wish I would have listened to you more. I wish I could listen to you now. Life does go on but you have a hole in your heart that will not heal. Whenever I see a penny I know that you are there with me and it is such a comfort to me. I love and miss you. Love Me

Mama,
We celebrated your birthday on July 16th. We sang your songs and looked at pictures and yes shed a few tears. But we wanted to honor you in a way that you would have liked. We felt your presence the whole time but we each know that you are with us all the time. There are so many moments when we look to heaven and say, yes I know Gagee, you are watching over us. We all love you and miss you so much.
Love, Me & my 3 girls and our 3 boys.

Dear Katherine, Darlene and Elaine,
I was so sorry to hear of your sweet mom's passing, but we know she's in a much better place. Please know we are praying for you all at this time. Time seems to be the best healer and with God's help He'll get you through.
Love,
Cousin Jane

Dearest Elaine, Katherine and Darlene,
How my heart goes out to each of you since hearing of Marguerite's
passing. I have such wonderful memories as do so many others. I
especially remember her coming up on
Nana's porch to show everyone pictures
of what she had been doing. When I first heard this news, the first thing
I said was that she was one of the most
cheerful, happy people I have ever
known. What a wonderful life she had
and how much each of you enriched it.
I will sure keep each of you in my
prayers as you go through these first
few months of adjustment. With love
and deepest sympathy. Your cousin, Gail

I still don't know how you go on without your Mama. All I do know is that I will miss hearing your stories and songs. You were always full of good things to say and always had time to help others. I will miss you for the rest of my life but I will try to carry on all of our traditions and hope that you are looking down from Heaven with Nanny and Grampy and smiling. I love you, Me

I was sad to hear of Marguerite's death. She is part of my fond memories at Melrose Methodist when I was a child. Katherine was in my group but I remember Darlene and Elaine too. I left Roanoke and didn't see them very much but when my sister and I visited Roanoke in 2006 we had breakfast with Marguerite's after church group. We enjoyed hearing about her family and telling her about ours. She was jolly as I will always remember her.

My love, prayers and sympathy to everyone.

Marguerite,

You were a TRUE southern lady in all you accomplished during your 90 years! We remember visiting your beauty shop as little girls! My daughter admired you and was always impressed by your fashion sense with your "little metallic shoes." You were a role model to my 18 year old who thought you were just "so cool" and valued your stories!

I am sorry we weren't able to honor you at the visitation/funeral but we didn't know about the arrangements until it was too late. Please know that although we weren't physically present, our thoughts and admirations were with you! Thank you for being such a positive role model for future generations of women!!!

My deepest sympathies to all of the family....with our families' friendship covering so many years, I have memories of her that go way back to my own childhood and ones of her helping out with my own grandmother. She was one of the happiest and energetic women around and of course never at a loss for words....she was amazing and will be missed.

With love,
Patricia Milan Eichenberger

The fondest memories of General and Annie Janney's family is remembering all the good times we spent with Marguerite while staying with Uncle Jim & Aunt Maude's family for summer vacations. Bun remembers a family reunion when as many as 32 Janney's were welcome to stay with the Leslies. Thank you Marguerite, and to your lovely family, for those cherished days of our lives. Our prayers are with Marguerite and her family. Much love from "THE JANNEY'S".
