GALLAHER, Mark Anthony, 54, of Chesterfield, passed away December 14, 2009, at home after a seven-month battle with gastric cancer. He is survived by his wife, Lesley Vaughan Gallaher, of 31 years; his daughter, Lauren Harris; son, Jordan Gallaher; and son-in-law, Brian Harris. Mark was able to hold his first grandchild, Leah Brooke, born November 9, 2009. Mark is also survived by his parents, Bill and Helga Gallaher of Richmond; sisters, Stephanie Fulton of Richmond and Vicky Morris of Zebulon, N.C.; brothers-in-law, John Fulton and Mike Morris; niece, Amanda Morris Rager and husband, Josh; in-laws, Warren and Anna Vaughan of Bon Air; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorna and Joe Anzelone; nephew and niece, Alex and Alise, all of Richmond. Mark was a graduate of University of Richmond and of the MCV School of Dentistry. As a local dentist, he had many devoted patients. Mark was a member of the Irish American Society. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 19 at Bon Air Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends and visitors at a reception following the service. Prayers for comfort and peace for the family are going out. He was our dentist for a short time but was very nice and we enjoyed going to see him.
