COOR, Mary Frances Bartholomew, 90, of Burgess, formerly of Richmond, died Friday, January 8, 2010. She was born February 20, 1919 in Nash County, N.C., the daughter of the late Emma Westray and Charles B. Bartholomew Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Osman Coor, and a brother, Charles B. Bartholomew Jr. Mrs. Coor was a 1937-graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond and was a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Richmond. She retired in 1978 as an executive secretary from Standard Drug Company in Richmond. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce Daniel and Joanne George Coor of Burgess; their children, Jonathan David Coor, Maegan Westray Coor, Catherine Lane Winstead; and a great-grandson, Paxton Joel Carver. Graveside services 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond. Memorials may be made to Northumberland Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1, Reedville 22539.

Bruce,
Please accept our condolences. I worked with Norwood at DuPont 1954-59. He was a great guy and we shared many good days fishing. I met Mary on a couple of occasions and she was a lovely lady and I know you will miss her greatly. Dick Davis
