By owning her own business long before most women did not work outside the home, Aunt Mary was a role-model for the women in our family. I have fond memories of going to work with her while I was in elementary school for my first "job" helping to sweep and washing combs.
In later years, she would come to visit Ron and me; we spent many happy times with her and my Mom. She was always willing to pitch in and help with any project we were doing - painting, washing windows, etc.
