To give as you have given takes a love
Hallowed by a special kind of grace.
After all, the lives we will embrace,
Now are shaped by those that our hearts move.Kids need the kind of leader you have been.Your efforts don't come close to the real sum:
On your life we build what we become,
Undertaking only what we've seen.

To:The Johnson family,
Sandy was an excellent teacher and adviser. Her wisdom was second to none. She left valuable life lessons for all of us at Leesville Road Elementary School. Her stories and antics often made our day. She will be truly missed. She was a jewel. May you rest in comfort of knowing that she was deeply admired and respected. Thanks for taking the time to publish her obituary in the Lynchburg area.My heart goes out to you and your family as I'm sure you will miss her just as much as we do. May you seek peace and comfort in God's arm and know that He has taken another one of His angels for an eternal life.
With heart felt sympathy and love,

Dear Wade, Doug and Families, Your mother was my mother's dear sister, but she was also a role model to me when I was younger. She was a teacher and seemed so pretty and wise. I aspired to be like her. My sincere condolences to all of you. Janice Mills White

Doug and the entire Johnson family,

Doug, I'm sure there are no words that can comfort you right now. Losing a loved one is one of the greatest pains we can endure. As with everything, time heals all wounds. It never goes away, but it does get easier to bear. Once you get past the pain, you will be able to let the loving memories be your solace. I pray for peace to sustain you until that time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Your Mom/Nanny/Great Nanny was a gracious lady with a warm heart. We know you guys will miss her greatly. There are some people with whom you only have to spend a short amount of time to know that they are a really great person. Nanny was one of those people. May you turn to God to ease your pain knowing that she is with Him now. Much love.
