Melvin Donald Ballard

BALLARD, Melvin Donald, 81, of Midlothian, died October 26, 2010. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Charlotte Mae Bowry Ballard; son, Charles Donald Ballard, his wife, Laura Payne Ballard, and their children, Paul Nathan Ballard and Alison Paige Ballard; son, David Richard Ballard, his wife, Carolyn Fulgham Ballard, and their daughter, Haley Harris; and his brother, Warren Ballard, his wife, Joyce, and their family. Mr. Ballard served in the U.S. Naval Reserves for 12 years and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 345 for 40 years. He was a charter member of Bon Air Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
