Mildred Engleman DEL PAPA

DEL PAPA, Mildred Engleman, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2009 at her home in Kinsale, Va. Mildred was proud to have been born in Thomas Jackson's home in Lexington, Va. on February 4, 1928 to her parents, William and Lucille Clark Engleman. She was preceded in death by her son, John E.; a sister, Jane E. Curley; and two brothers, William and Tinsley Engleman. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Laurence J. Del Papa; a sister, Agnes E. McFadden; six children, Therese Hall and husband, David, Laurence Del Papa II, Paul Del Papa and wife, Kathy, David Del Papa, Charles Del Papa and wife, Rebecca, and Cynthia Shaughnessy; and grandchildren, Matthew, Bennett, Kimberly, Brittney, Bryan, Nathan and wife, Deborah, Elise, Nicholas, Daniel, Meredith and husband, Justin, Tony, Amelia, Lillian, Margaret, Andrew and Kristen; and seven great-grandchildren. Mildred graduated from Johnston-Willis School of Nursing working in the field of Obstetrics. In her retirement years, she was an avid reader and Bridge player and Mildred's greatest love was spending time with her family and many friends. The family will receive friends Friday, November 6, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bliley's- Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, Va., where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 7, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 7070 Nomini Hall Rd, Hague, Va. 22469. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 65, Hague, Va. 22469.
