Miriam Heintzman

HEINTZMAN, Miriam Katherine Groat, age 88, wife of the late John William "Billie" Heintzman of Myrtle Trace, S.C., died Monday, June 28, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Heintzman was born in Phoenix, Ariz., a daughter of the late William Andrew and Margaret Whitheart Groat. She was a graduate of Winthrop University with a degree in Sociology. Mrs. Heintzman retired with the Virginia Department of Social Services for families and children with 30 years of service. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving is one first cousin, Malcolm Craven of Florence, S.C. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sandra Stevens Poriel officiating.
